Cologne underground

An exciting expedition into the city`s history: in the underground of Cologne you will discover a secret passage, the foundation of a governor`s palace,  a Roman sewer, a medieval bath, the oldest ashlar construction north of the Alps and a lot more.

Please note: Due to the massive construction work of the Miqua (Jewish museum and archaeological zone) some of these places will not be open to the public until  the scheduled opening of the museum in 2020. The tour will be a guided walk through the city including a more detailed look underground into one or two of the following places:

  • praetor’s palace and roman sewer (open only until end 2017, entrance fee 3,50 EUR p.p.)
  • excavations in the undergroung parking garage at the Cathedral
  • excavation under St. Martin`s church (entrance fee 0,50 EUR p.p.)
