General terms and conditions for guided tours
Payment
If no other agreement has been made, the guiding fee is paid in cash on the spot to the guide who will give you a receipt. Payment by invoice is possible upon request. Payments by invoice from abroad may include special arrangements (fee for bank transfer, advance payment).
Maximum number of participants
For walking tours and interior visits the group may generally have up to 25 participants. Larger groups require a correspondingly larger number of guides.
Waiting time
The guide(s) will wait 30 minutes at the meeting point (the fee is to be paid from the scheduled starting time) . If the group does not show up during the waiting time without notifying the guide, the full fee will be charged.
Cancellation
Tours can be cancelled free of charge up to one week before the scheduled tour begins. For cancellations within the last 7 days, a cancellation fee of 50% of the guiding fee shall be due. For cancellations within the last 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled time, the cancellation fee will be 80%. In both cases a minimum fee of 50 EUR will be charged.
Please note: Guided tours of Cologne Cathedral require a special appointment which includes an entrance fee for groups. This is organized by the Domforum. If a reservation for a cathedral tour has to be cancelled within the last 14 days before the scheduled time, the Domforum will charge a cancellation fee of 10 EUR .
